TDD your own Test Framework – #xpman May 14th with James Jeffries

Feedback is one of the core XP Values. Quick feedback cycles allow us to avoid waste from going in the wrong direction and keep our confidence and morale high to continue going the right way.

TDD is one way of seeking this feedback. Often, we have a framework of preference and we just use it – but what considerations went into it? How does it help or hinder your thinking?

In his excellent book, TDD by Example, Kent Beck, the Yoda of Extreme Programming presents an exercise where he bootstraps his own TDD framework, building in better and better feedback loops. In this session of xpman, we’ll follow in his footsteps.

And what self respecting Jedi hasn’t built their own lightsabre?
